About Abe’s Garden Blog

Please join us as we share the seeds of hope and our stories about those we love. It has happened to all of us. We misplace car keys, fumble for a word we’ve used a thousand times, or see a familiar face but temporarily forget the owner’s name.

Now imagine you’re in that forgetful state all the time. You never find your car keys, never think of the word you’ve used a thousand times before, and you not only forget people’s names, but who they are and what they mean to you. You lose your ability to work, enjoy lifelong hobbies, function at home, and eventually, even how to eat and swallow. What’s worse, you know your mental ability is weakening. It’s like living inside a photograph that’s literary fading away. That’s the irreversible cognitive disorder we know as dementia, the most common form of which is Alzheimer’s disease.
